Coping with Stress among Children during COVID-19

Abstract

Stress means the body’s reaction to any physical or emotional situation that causes imbalance in an individual’s life. Stress in children aged 1-12 years differs from adults because they lack experience and communication skills in comparison to adults therefore, they handle and express differently. Children’s stress may be caused by any positive or negative event that is outside of normal routine. As COVID-19 pandemic continues to expand in Nepal and within the world, just one thing is certain: this outbreak will have profound impact not only on the health and economic situation, but also on the psychosocial well- being of children across nations. So, concerning the context, this article focuses on coping with stress among children in this pandemic.
